Falling

Do you love me or are we just friends
Do you need me or is this just pretend
I’ve tried to figure you out but I still have my doubts
If I could looked in your heart what would I see
Would there be someone I can trust
Or is this all just my fantasy

When I kiss you do you get chills
Or are you feeling some kind of guilt
Am I special or am I just one of several
When I call do you rush to the phone
Will you stick with me to the end
Or will you leave me all alone

I’m falling
I’m falling
I can’t see what’s in your heart
All I know is I’m falling, falling for you

Maybe I should take a chance and let go
Maybe you’ll love me, maybe you won’t
Maybe this is the beginning of everything
A soft kiss and a leap of faith
That’s all I’m asking that’s all it takes
Baby only you can fill in all my blanks

Stonewall

Well it started down at Stonewall
It was June of ’69
The raid was set for 3am
Just about closing time

They arrested the bartenders
And the wait staff as well
They thought it would be easy
‘till the neighbors started to yell

Their crime was serving faggots
There’s no license for that
They thought they’d close it forever
But the protesters stood pat

The streets filled up with fairies
And queens in there finest threads
And the bottles started flying
Sailing over the cops heads

The uniforms ran for cover
They hid inside the bar
And called for reinforcements
Paddy wagons and squad cars

But the people they got organized
And proudly took a stand
And started the gay liberation front
And got the upper hand

Now a proud flag is waving
In parades every year
That symbolizes freedom
From prejudice and fear

So sing a song for Stonewall
Sing it loud and clear
Let no one forget the courage
Born in the village that year

Christine

A little too brave, a little too cute, a little too sharp
Christine went out swimming with the sharks one night
Now she walks the streets with that glazed look in her eyes
And know one  seems to miss her and I wonder why

Christine, where are you to night
Christine, I wonder if you're all right
Church bells are ringing out your name
Christine, Christine

A little to much, a little too fast, a little too strong
She approaches  some gentlemen  and asks if they might
Like some company, a little half and half tonight
And if they say yes, she's off into the night

Christine, where are you to night
Christine, I wonder if you're all right
Church bells are ringing out your name
Christine, Christine

A little too bright, a little too clear, a little too soon
The sunlight chases the morning moon
It signals the end of her working day
Tell me how long can she go on this way

Christine, where are you to night
Christine, I wonder if you're all right
Church bells are ringing out your name
Christine, Christine

SLOW

I saw him driving this car before
Candy apple red and that music thumping
I never thought I had a chance
But here I am like a princess cruising

I can hear his heart beat picking up its pace
I can see that longing emotion on his face

Take it slow
Baby take it slow
No need to rush on in
Let’s ease into this thing
Take my hand and we’ll begin
Ain’t no race we’re running
Baby take it slow

I know I’m playing with dynamite
He’s ready to explode like a rock guitar string
But if I give him what he needs
This stories gonna have a real sad ending

There are no red lights stopping you
So take your time and I’ll come through

Take it slow
Baby take it slow
No need to rush on in
Let’s ease into this thing
Take my hand and we’ll begin
Ain’t no race we’re running
Baby take it slow

Please leave me alone

You're usin' me up
You're wearing' me down
You're everywhere baby
You're always around

At first I thought it was so sweet
Now I can't seem to get me no peace

Like walkin' on Egg shells
Like liven' in hell

Please leave me alone
Please lease me alone
Just leave me alone

You're the life guard baby
That just can't swim
You're the school bus driver
Stinking of gin
You want to steer the ship
But you can't see
Your blinded by love
And I'm your casualty

In my mind I'm floating on an Island
Somewhere where there are no spoken words
Not a word
To be heard

So show me an exit
Point to the sign
Give me a ticket
And I'll be fine
Far far away from the
Madding crowd
Where the music is playing
Ever so loud

That Little Girl of Mine

She's more than I asked for
Much more than I deserve
She gives me such lovin'
She rocks my world
Who could imagine
She'ld choose to love me
She's so fine
That little girl of mine
She don't keep no secrets
She don't tell no lies
With just one kiss
My hearts in over drive
She's so understanding
And forgiving too
She's so fine
That little girl of mine
I don't know what this life will bring
But I'm happy just to go for the ride
I don't know what she does to me
but what she does to me is just fine
That little girl of mine
I don't need no Jaguar
or no swimming pool
I got a good women
and soothes my soul
Who could imagine
She'ld choose to love me
She's so fine
That little girl of mine

Just a Bird in New York City

She looks so small you would never know
The strength that she has within
Watch her now as she readies to go
Surrender to the heavens

White clouds hover above so thin
She lifts her head to the sky
She's up and off such a glorious spin
Listen to that songful cry

Now she's up, up and away
On her musical journey
Up, up and away
Just a Bird in New York City

Lilting little melodies
Become huge crescendo
Riffing through steadily
Any way the wind blows

Now she soars higher than
Places  you've never imagined
Who would bet such a song
Could be set to rhythm and reason

Surely this is magic I see
She let's the music set her free
So free

Now she's up, up and away
On her musical her journey
Up, up and away
Just a bird in New York City
Such a bird in New York City

Beneath those constellations

Sun has set
Beyond the horizon
Moon has risen
In the outer realms

Stars shining
Over my head
World is silent
All is peaceful and still

It's a whisper
It's a sigh
It's a moment
You can't pass by
Right here by my side
Beneath those constellations

Crickets chirping
In the dark
Nightingale singing
Now it's twilight

A quiet moment
We're all alone
Everything is calm
Now we're finally home

It's a whisper
It's a sigh
It's a moment
You can't pass by
Right here by my side
Beneath those constellations

Key West Time

The sun is shining
Ain't a cloud in the sky
I got the top pulled down
Got by baby by my side
Take south bound U. S.  one
Headed straight for fun
Leaving all our troubles and worries behind
On Key West Time
Key West Time
Key West
Key West
Key West
Key West
We’re going down to Key West
And have us a real good time
There's a frozen Margaretta
That's calling my name
At a bar in Oldtown
Where we'll rock the night away
Nobody has a care
We'll be working on our tans
Leaving all our troubles and worries behind
On Key West Time
Key West Time
So if you get those winter time blues
Longing for that I love you
Pack you bages and hit the road
You don't need a map
Here's all you need to know
Take south bound U. S.  one
Headed straight for fun
Leaving all our troubles and worries behind
On Key West Time
Key West Time
Key West
Key West
Key West
Key West
We’re going down to Key West
And have us a real good time

The Trickle Down Blues

They said give us a tax break
And we'll give you all jobs
The money will come back to you
It will rain down from the clouds
So we gave them the money
And they hid it all away
And they outsourced the jobs
And they're still laughing today
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle down
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle down
Once I had a house
But the bank took it away
They kept raising the payments
Until I just couldn't pay
I called the bank for help
But they just hung up the phone
Now I'm headed for a rental
On the poor side of town
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle dow
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle down
There ain't no jobs nowhere
We've searched both high and low
But bankers still get bonuses
And we're headed skid row
But the times are a changing
Ain't gonna take no more
They'll be millions of us marching
And we'll knock right on their doors
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle down
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
We got the trickle down blues
'cause we ain't seen a dime trickle down

The End of the American Dream

They tell us it's Democracy
We're terrorists on their soil
Sounds more like Theocracy
But its really about oil
A business is a person
Someone that has wealth
We haven't learned our lesson
We haven't earned our health
Speak up speak up
Time to be heard
Show up show up
Time to be seen
Wake up wake up
It's the end of the American
End of the American Dream
They said "give us a tax break"
And we'll give you lots of jobs
Because we're the job creators
And we hold all the cards
They tell us it's Democracy
We're terrorists on their soil
Sounds more like Theocracy
But its really about oil

A NewWorld is Possible

They've taken our right to negotiate

They won't pay us a living wage

They don't pay fair tax and they operate

Like they believe we are their slaves

We'll if your tired of all their lies

Stand up, join the movement and Occupy

We're gonna change this world

One day at a time, 'cause

We believe, we believe, we believe

A new world is possible

We believe, we believe, we believe

A new world is possible

They perpetuate inequality

They use age, color and sex

They sell our privacy as a commodity

Endanger lives in pursuit of profit

We'll if your tired of all their lies

Stand up, join the movement and Occupy

We're gonna change this world

One day at a time, 'cause

Take Me in Your Loving Arms Tonight

Every time I'm near her
Her smile takes me away
From this world of disappointment
To our lovers holiday

And sometimes in the darkness
I feel her start to move
Coming close to me just when
The chill of night sets in

Take me in your loving arms tonight
Take me in your loving arms tonight
Don't leave me cold and blue
Dreaming about you
Take me in your loving arms tonight

Baby I can't promise
A life without a care
But I swear I'll be faithful
Till the man calls me upstairs

And if it all gets crazy
And you feel you need to leave
Come close to me and then
I'll prove my love again

Take me in your loving arms tonight
Take me in your loving arms tonight
Don't leave cold and blue
Dreaming about you
Take me in your loving arms tonight

Oh they'll be hard times and troubles
But we'll always have this love
Nothing can ever come between us
Cause baby we can rise above

Take me in your loving arms tonight
Take me in your loving arms tonight
Don't leave cold and blue
Dreaming about you
Take me in your loving arms tonight

I Love That Car

I got a candy apple red mustang
There's nothing faster
Zero to sixty in nothing flat
Yea she's a go getta
If you wanna see her, you better look quick.
She'll be history before you can blink
I love that car
I love that car

Once had a women but I let her go
I just couldn't keep her
She wanted me to trade her for an Eldorado
Not my red senorita
No one comes between us and that's a fact
I keep her engine humming and I'm proud of that
I love that car
I love that car

Women will come and go in your life
They always what you to give
Some what your money
Some what your soul
But my sweet little ride
Just wants to rock and roll

If you need satisfaction in your life
You don't need a bartender
Buy your self a junker and fix her up
There's nothing finer
She won't ask no questions or tell you no lies
And all she wants to do is take you for a ride
I love that car
I love that car

California

That Santa Anna Breeze is calling me

Back to the wine country

Where the rivers flow like chardonnay

And the music plays all day

You and I will be rolling

Down that gentle hillside

Watching the balloons rising

Over the Bristlecone Pines

California

California

She's the midnight moon that follows you home

Just to make sure you're OK

She's the gentle breeze blowing through your hair

When the Sun comes out to play

California

I remember lake Anza

Playing guitar down by the shore

Serenading the angels

Like an Island troubadour

The days were long and sunny then

But now the time has flown by

And I miss the pure inspiration

Of the California sky

Faithful Companion

When I have a need for conversation

Her voice helps me unwind

And I feel at ease as she reveals her special meaning

Listen as she gathers information

For a moment we leave it all behind

While the world outside our door is haplessly waiting

Faithful companion

Guide us through these days

Faithful companion

Take the wheel as our ship sets sail

Faithful companion

Sometimes very late in the darkness

She comes to me and takes control

And I’m overwhelmed by the love I feel

And I know there’s nothing in this world as real

Faithful companion

Guide us through these days

Faithful companion

Take the wheel as our ship sets sail

Love Comes and Goes

Sun streams through my bedroom window

As I crush my cloud blue pillow

Like a mothers alarm clock

It just won't go away, it just won't go away

We're all on missions of our own

No time to stop and say hello

We're just falling aimlessly

Like leaves on their journey

To the frozen ground, not making a sound

Love comes and goes

Like a midnight Train

That takes you to the

Pleasure and the pain

Love comes and goes

It'll leave you weak

Like a heart attack

Love comes and goes

If only we could just look up

From our designer coffee cups

And find some eyes to look into

And listen to their truth

We're all on missions of our own

No time to stop and say hello

We're just falling aimlessly

Just like leaves on their journey

To the frozen ground

Not making a sound

We're all on missions of our own

No time to stop and say hello

We're just falling aimlessly

Like leaves on their journey

To the frozen ground, not making a sound

Love comes and goes

Like a midnight Train

That takes you to the

Pleasure and the pain

Love comes and goes

It'll leave you weak

Like a heart attack

Love comes and goes

Too Big To Fail

Once we were the light on the hill
A beacon a for the world to see
We stood for truth and justice
Yea that was the American way

Now our government bows to Wall Street
And does just what it's told
They declare war for profit
They must have sold their souls

It's a corporate need
It's corporate greed
It's corporate domination

Too Big to Fail
The laws don't apply
Too Big to Fail
No need to justify
It must be swell
When your too big
Too Big to Fail

The supreme court's in their pocket
They have gone beyond their reach
Corporation's are now people
And money is now speech

They spend our taxes on warfare
Then they cry about the national debt
There is no money for healthcare
'cause they gave it to the one percent

It's a corporate need
It's corporate greed
It's corporate domination

Too Big to Fail
The laws don't apply
Too Big to Fail
No need to justify
It must be swell
When your too big
Too Big to Fail

With senators in their pockets
They believe they're chosen by God
To control the wealth of nations
With a wink and a nod

Too Big to Fail
The laws don't apply
Too Big to Fail
No need to justify
It must be swell
When your too big
Too Big to Fail
