Framed

Annie Walsh was murdered at the age of fifty one

She was a Manchester factory worker.

Jack Butler arrested Margaret Brown's son

He claimed he was the perpetrator

His name was Bobby, he was just nineteen

He was jailed, October seventy seven

Justice Milmo, said he didn't believe

And told the jury it's a simple decision

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

They're sharing the proceeds of crime

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

And everyone is involved

Believe the detectives or believe Bobby Brown

That would be the jury's decision

Everyone discussed it, all over town

And it was a short deliberation

They convicted Bobby while his mother cried

He got life in Kirkham prison

Based on all Jack Butler's lies

And the jury's quick decision

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

They're sharing the proceeds of crime

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

And everyone is involved

Bobby was vindicated 2002

Thanks to solicitor, Robert Lizar

He never forgot the cry for truth

In the eyes of Bobby's mother

Now Annie Walsh's killer is still hiding

And it don't look likely he'll be found

But eventually the lord will find him

And he'll burn in hells fire for what he's done

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

They're sharing the proceeds of crime

There's corruption down at the Platt Lane Station

And everyone is involved
